About the Short Film

Luna Court follows eighteen-year-old Denver and her best friend Shay as they travel through Wyoming and Colorado, setting out after high school in search of something more—chasing music, freedom, and the idea of a life they can create for themselves.

After a long night on the road, a quiet stop at a truck stop diner sets them on a new path—leading them to Boulder, where moments of discovery, friendship, and possibility begin to unfold. But beneath the lightness of the journey, Denver carries the weight of her past, including the loss of her mother and the unanswered questions surrounding her missing father.

As the day unfolds, what begins as a search for direction becomes something more internal—an encounter with memory, grief, and the fear of what we inherit from the people who came before us.

At its core, Luna Court is a coming-of-age story about the journey, friendship, and learning to move forward without all the answers.
