About the Film

Inspired by the memoir Luna Court, the short film follows best friends Denver and Shay as they set out across the American West in the early 1990s, searching for Denver’s missing father.

What begins as a road trip becomes a story about friendship, loss, and the families we create along the way. Set against a landscape of open roads, record stores, diners, and the music of a generation, Denver begins to understand that sometimes the road leads us to something more meaningful than what we set out to find.

At its heart, Luna Court is about the people who stay beside us when life doesn’t go as planned, and the hope that keeps us moving forward.

SUPPORT WHAT COMES NEXT

Luna Court was independently produced from a belief in the power of personal stories to connect us.

As the film begins its journey into screenings and festivals, I’m also turning toward what comes next—The Shoes, a new short film inspired by another chapter of my family’s story.

For those who would like to support my continued work as an independent filmmaker, contributions can be made through StreamFest, my fiscal sponsor. Your support helps make it possible for me to continue bringing these stories to the screen.

Thank you for being part of the journey. I hope to see you at a screening this October.
